Zamasu is a core antagonist in the "Future Trunks Saga" of Dragon Ball Super. He first appears in episode 53, "Discover Gowasu's Identity! Head to the Universe 10 World of the Kai!"
Initially, Zamasu is a North Kai apprentice under the Supreme Kai Gowasu of Universe 10. He possesses immense power and a strong distrust of mortals, believing them to be violent and inherently evil. This belief, fueled by witnessing mortal actions, leads to his radical views on justice.
His extreme ideology eventually drives him to betray Gowasu and embark on a plan to eradicate all mortals. This involves various manipulations of time and space, culminating in him stealing the body of Son Goku, creating the powerful and infamous Goku Black.
